Blackberry Messenger coming to iPhone?

A rumor from BGR today suggests RIM is preparing to bring its popular BlackBerry Messenger to iOS as well as Android. Details are sparse but the Canadian handset manufacturer reportedly wants to own the messaging space and can propel itself forward by opening its popular Messenger service to other platforms. RIM is moving quickly with the Android version, but may encounter a stumbling block with Apple's App Store approval process. Nonetheless, this rumor is quite tantalizing, especially when you feast your eyes on the above screenshot that landed in our inbox recently.
